Session Guard
Locks TradingView, Tradovate and TopstepX in this browser outside the trading hours you pick. It never locks you out of an open trade: if your hours end while you're in one, it warns you and waits until you're flat.
Getting started
- Installed. Session Guard is in your browser.
- Put its button in your toolbar. Click the puzzle piece 🧩 at the top right of the browser, then the eye 👁 next to Session Guard.
- Check your trading hours. It starts with 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM New York time, Monday to Friday. If yours are different, change them below and press Save my hours. Go there
- Keep your balance showing in TradingView. The Trading Panel at the bottom of the chart, where your Account Balance is, must stay showing at all times. That's how Session Guard knows if you're still in a trade when your hours end. The thin strip is enough.

TradingView is open during these hours and locked the rest of the time.
Less time (shorter hours, fewer days) starts now. More time waits until the next session, so you can't talk yourself into an extra hour in the moment. Your very first save starts straight away, whatever you pick.
Alerts
You can drag Session Guard's bar on the chart anywhere you like. Double-click it to put it back.
Everything stays on this computer. Session Guard never sends anything anywhere.

Still in a trade? Use the button on the lock screen. It opens TradingView for 45 seconds, and if it sees a trade open, it stays open until you're flat.
Unlock for 15 minutes — only if you really must. You wait 2 minutes and type a sentence first, and it goes in the log.
Unlock TradingView for 15 minutes, outside your trading hours.
